Extra Pictures From The Food Festival

I wanted to show some of the other pictures I took at the food festival.

These chocolates have Pimms alcohol inside. My auntie wouldn't let me try them. :(

These chocolates had liquid caramel inside and golden dust on top.

Fresh honey.

Triple chocolate, white choc chip and peanut butter cookies. Mmmmmm..... I can recommend the peanut butter ones, they were really yummy.

Handmade honeycomb covered in white and milk chocolate

These meringues are (clockwise from top) strawberry, jubilee special, blueberry, plain and caramel. We bought one of the caramel ones and it was delicious.

These were beers from around the North West region of the UK.

Different types of nuts, olives, Turkish Delight and baklava.
Baklava is a sweet pastry which has nuts and syrup inside.

My family don't like radishes so I've never come across them before as we never have them in my house. They really look nice though. I would like to try them.

These are kippers in a smokehouse. I have never tried kippers either.

I love pies but these were all pork and I don't eat pork. They looked delicious though.

My auntie said I should include a picture of these tomatoes. She said they were very tasty but not sweet more of a savoury taste.

My First Food Festival

On the Jubilee weekend I went to Warrington for a food festival. A food festival is like a concert with food.

There were loads of food stalls out on the grass and two massive tents of smaller stalls. The stalls outside were mainly restaurants and takeaways. Inside the tents were food stalls that were mainly take home foods.

Outdoor stalls.

Ostrich burgers!

We queued up for 25 minutes and they ran out of chow mein while we were still queuing. :(

The queues for the outside food stalls were really long.

Making freshly squeezed lemonade.

Some of the indoor stalls
Cake pops

Retro Shots - these a vodkas flavoured with penny sweets e.g. drumstick lollies

Rainbow Cakes - I had their choc and chilli cake and it was tasty. Really chocolaty with a spicy kick!

So many pies!

Caribbean food. Their spicy sauce wasn't really that spicy.

Really pretty cheesecakes.

this picture is taken on it's side but its an actual bee hive. it was awesome to see the bees making honey.

This Yorkshire Punch is non-alcoholic but promises to cure everything!

These cake were amazing. I had one of the brownies and I split a huge caramel meringue with my Auntie.

I really enjoyed the food festival and I'm looking forward to the one in Tatton Park in a few weeks.

Kaius Dines Out

Hi my name is Kaius and I love food. I have started this blog to tell people of my foodie adventures.

I am 10 years old and next September I will be starting at senior school which gives me the whole of the six weeks holidays to explore Manchester and tell you about the food I've eaten.

My favourite foods are... anything! I especially like spicey food. I think the American term is Chilli Head!

I am looking forward to trying new foods and restaurants over the next couple of weeks.
